Before joining Sealed Inc. full time, I consulted for them on a new initiative: designing and building an interactive lead-generation magnet. Based on their RFP, I put forth a proposal and SOW, and ultimately secured the contract. I owned the project end-to-end, and managed the development.
There were two primary goals: increase brand awareness, and provide value for users that were outside of Sealed’s service area. These were met by delivering a branded experience, which informed users on how they can improve the energy efficiency of their homes. By entering their address, we could provide a rough estimate of their yearly energy use, and potential for energy savings.
When the energy calculator was included in email campaigns, click-through rates improved by close to 10%, with a 6% increase is MQL volume.
